Treatment of Flue Gas in a CO2 Capture Pilot Plant for a Commercial CFB Boiler

چکیده

The problem of reducing carbon dioxide emissions from flue gas, particularly gas originating coal-firing CFB systems, is currently an important challenge. Many centers around the world have tested post-combustion CO2 capture systems. One these operated using DR-VPSA adsorption technology (dual-reflux vacuum pressure swing adsorption), was under Strategic Project in Poland. this study originated a supercritical boiler (460 MWe). An involved capturing occurrence SO2 and NOx. These substances negative effect on process. In study, commercial impregnated activated used to remove NOx pre-treatment section during tests pilot unit large-scale at Lagisza Power Plant (Poland). spent analyzed several different methods (N2 adsorption–desorption isotherms, SEM-EDX, XRD, FTIR, TG) evaluate efficiency operation life span adsorbent removal unit. results demonstrate that ensures sufficient purification sulfur oxides but remains insufficient for nitrogen oxides.

Flue gas treatment for CO2 capture

This report is in two sections: the first describes the flue gas and its treatment in post-combustion capture and the second covers the flue gas in oxyfuel combustion capture. The main components of the flue gas in pulverised coal combustion for postcombustion capture are CO2, N2, O2 and H2O, and air pollutants such as SOx, NOx, particulates, HCl, HF, mercury as well as other contaminants. The ...

Development of New Potassium Carbonate Sorbent for CO2 Capture under Real Flue Gas Conditions

In this paper, the development of a new potassium carbonateon alumina support sorbent prepared by impregnating K2CO3 with an industrial grade of Al2O3 support was investigated. The CO2 capture capacity was measured using real flue gas with 8% CO2 and 12% H2O in a fixed-bed reactor at a temperature of 65 °C using breakthrough curves. The developed sorbent showed an adsorption capacity of 66.2 mg...
